Survived first hotel night at local Country Inn. Cats came to check us out on the bed (all but Nashira anyway) but they slept under the bed. I think the room across from us had a dog, which made them very interested in, and worried about, the door. Not much appetite, though there was at least some nibbling and all food set out was gone by morning. Also a very noisy litter box with a lot of traffic overnight. May need a traffic signal since they are sharing boxes now.
A little trauma and trembling getting back in the cages, but got em packed in and mobile. caught in an Annapolis vortex of kitty prescription screw ups, now on our way! We are waiting for that exhale of decompression that comes when the horizon opens and the traffic thins and the world stops pressing in. Not yet.
